  1. Most ducks fans may or may not agree here, but losing Cogs was really hard. Obviously he’s not a top 6 guy, but he was a lot of fun to watch and a generally great dude. He’s one of those locker room guys you really need. I love that him and Perry and in the SCF. But I wanted that on the ducks…

  2. Being a lifelong Caps fan, I can say Holtby has been no better than ordinary the last 3 seasons (with the exception of the Stanley Cup run when he got red hot!). I’m not saying he’s “toast” just yet, but someone will most probably over-pay him this off-season.

  4. I’ve always wondered why 18 year-olds couldn’t just play in the minors. Makes no sense. I feel like it is guaranteed that removing that restriction will create a lot more late-bloomer scenarios.

  6. Does this lawsuit mean the european players might be disallowed in the AHL?
Will this mean said players have a harder time adjusting to the North American rinks?
I see this with three different goggles:
    1. European talents start pouring into the CHL (poor canadian kids)
    2. European ice rinks starts having North American measurements (finally)
    3. European players stick longer in their home league (please don’t go back 30 years)
What’s your thoughts on that THG?

  7. Isles letting go of Robin Lehner. I’ve warmed up to Varlomov during these playoffs especially, but man, Lehner is still my favorite player. I’m not normally a guy who gets attached to players, either, more the team as a whole, so to me, the fact that I like this guy so much is significant. I hope he stays in Vegas, since at least he’s still playing for a team I root for there.
