  2. holy crap, i was doing the kicker with the pronation you did on flat. I need to test this. The dirty diper possition feels very unconfortable, and i feel pain in the wrist and shoulder by even shadow stroking. Im doing something wrong..

    • im not sure maybe im swinning way too much to the side of the body. When swining more to the front its not so bad, but from ur vid it looks like ur finishing more on ur side not front.

  4. good explanation of pronation – it happens naturally. a lot of debate on pronating, but it appears other parts of serve are more important to focus on.

  5. Hey Jeff, love the videos. Very articulate and to the point.
    I have been playing tennis since I was 5 (now 18) and although I have played consistently since then it has never been too serious. Since starting at university this year I’ve realised how much I can improve and realised how much I WANT to improve!
    Currently during quarentine I am doing all I can to train for when I’m back on the court.
    Although I feel like there are so many training drills, excersises and things to think about that I have no clue what to really prioritise. What do you think 3 or 5 key aspects to really focus would be when training ? (this might be a difficult question to answer, I apologise)

  6. Because of your previous videos, I don’t focus on pronation. Instead, I focus on “first move”, “elbowing the enemy”, and holding that “dirty diaper” finish. However, I do pronate some. I am 75 years old, have been serving for decades, and pronation comes naturally. However, with the kicker, I do notice that pronation occurs only a little and it happens well after the ball is gone. I just wish I could get the graphic image of that stinky, dirty diaper out of my consciousness. You are the best. Thank you for your videos.

  7. Really great video Jeff. But I have a question: in my kick server my racquet finishes across my right almost parallel to basesline as you mention and for my first serve my racquest finishes perpendicular to bases line contrary to what you said. Am I doing something wrong in first serve?
